Biography

Born February 3rd, 1989, Ryne Andrew Sanborn never intended to make performing his career. Though he's always had a passion for acting, hockey was always his dream. More specifically, to play for the USA Olympic Team.

As a toddler Ryne's mom, Florence, took him to auditions to be a child model. Even at the tender age of 2, it was easy to see he loved doing it. And as he puts it "I just kept doing it!"

During most of his adolesence, Ryne lived the "average" life. Though he loved acting and did have a few guest appearances on shows like Touched by an Angel and a small role in the tv-movie Not in This Town, hockey was focus. He attended Taylorsville High School and played for the school hockey team as well as Utah's under-16 traveling team. In 2002, he was priviledged enough to be the Child of Light for the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City where he was first introduced to Kenny Ortega.

A few years later, Ryne and Kenny met up again when Ryne auditioned for the made-for-tv-movie turned phenomenon High School Musical. His role of Jason Cross was seen again in the sequel High School Musical 2 and will be seen once more in the third installment, rumored to start filming this spring.

Currently studying architecture at the University of Utah, Ryne is looking forward to more projects to come his way. Soon you will be able to see him along with HSM alum Lucas Grabeel in The Adventures of Foodboy.
